Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month 2019

Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month

April 2019

Get all 12 counties involved in an action-based campaign to “Lose the Ribbon, Prevention is Action!”

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month is a nationwide campaign commemorated in April.  The Purple Door is encouraging our community to “Lose the Ribbon, Prevention is Action!”  Ending sexual violence begins with all of us.  By strengthening and collecting our voices, we can change the conversation surrounding sexual assault and violence.  Join us in empowering our survivors to trust their voices and believe victims who demonstrate bravery in sharing their experiences.  Stand with us in holding perpetrators accountable for choosing to use violence.  Let’s correct harmful societal norms by challenging our peers and being an up-stander to uphold a new safe community standard.
