PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF POSITION: Provide general janitorial services for agency-owned facilities, grounds, and equipment. Perform light maintenance and repair work at agency-owned facilities. Retain and coordinate professional assistance for maintenance and repairs when needed. The Janitorial Maintenance Technician position is essential for ensuring the functionality, safety, and longevity of the residential facility for clients, staff, and volunteers.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
• Responsible for all areas of facilities janitorial services in shelter facility to include client bedrooms when not inhabited.
• Proactively perform facilities interior and exterior janitorial services as outlined in the Housekeeping/Maintenance Manual.
• Light Maintenance (light bulbs, AC filters, doorknobs, other minor repair duties)
• Maintain communication, priorities, and relationships with agency vendors providing maintenance services.
• Monitor maintenance and facility needs and priorities in collaboration with the Residential Services Manager.
• Ensure that appropriate records are maintained for reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely preparation of administrative documents and reports as requested/required by supervisor.
• Perform other activities as assigned by supervisor.
• Attend all meetings and training as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain professional conduct and represent the Agency in a professional manner.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED.
QUALIFICATIONS: Janitorial experience highly preferred; maintenance experience preferred such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and routine building repair, basic computer skills; ability to follow routine checklist; good oral and written communication skills; flexible and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines; non-traditional hours to include some evening and weekend hours possible; some travel requiring a valid driver’s license and a personal, insured vehicle for use on the job required.

Purpose/Function of Position: Manage the Non-Residential Services Program, ensuring the program meets operational expectations by delivering quality service, accessibility, and delivery, and by overseeing client support services and community education of agency services. Oversee and ensure smooth operation of program services, regularly evaluating effectiveness, appropriateness, service delivery, and cost efficiency. Manage and supervise assigned staff, ensuring performance expectations are achieved.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
• Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of employees and oversee the training of staff.
• Set clear expectations and provide clear delegation of responsibilities, oversight, and daily supervision of assigned staff, ensuring personnel are aware of and in compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Ensure that performance evaluations are conducted on all employees at required intervals.
• Ensure that all employees under your supervision are meeting performance expectations and take actions as necessary to bring employee performance to acceptable standards.
• Provide disciplinary action(s) of employees within the program area under the guidance of the Deputy Director.
• Ensure that all non-residential services under the direction of the Non-Residential Services Manager remain available and are accessible to clientele, utilized at a maximum, and that victims’ needs are met in an appropriate, non-discriminatory manner.
• Oversee and ensure smooth operation of program services, regularly evaluating effectiveness, appropriateness, service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Provide a means for education on domestic violence and sexual assault topics for the general public, other professionals, and civic organizations, and coordinate and oversee educational presentations by assigned staff.
• Ensure assigned staff are completing an assessment and service plan for all victims, focusing on clients’ individual needs and aiding clientele to utilize appropriate services provided by the agency.
• Ensure staff are advocating for victims by providing appropriate referrals for services with other agencies and information focusing on improving clients’ quality of life.
• Ensure staff are advocating for clients, intervening on their behalf with employers, police, and courts (to include accompaniment and testimony if required), family concerns, city and state agencies, travel concerns, etc.
• Participate in community-level work, such as community mobilization, coalition building, and policy education related to the prevention of domestic and sexual violence.
• Develop and maintain a working relationship with schools, colleges, universities, and all other partners in the service area.
• Participate collaboratively with the Leadership Team and other staff as needed, in developing and maintaining appropriate services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.
• Make recommendations to the Leadership Team on such topics as program effectiveness, service delivery, and all areas of personnel supervision.
• Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and contracts and ensure compliance with all agency contracts, funding portions of client services.
• Participate with the Leadership Team in long-range planning to ensure continuing quality service delivery, and to develop new programs to meet the needs of victims and the community.
• Make public appearances to interpret the services of the agency to the community.
• Ensure that an accurate record of work hours, mileage, etc., is maintained.
• Ensure timely preparation of reports as requested.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in the human service field or equivalent experience.

Purpose/Function of Position: To provide information, supportive services, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. To provide community education regarding domestic violence and sexual assault issues and referral information for agency services. Non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, are expected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA: Client Support Services
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Provide peer counseling, education, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
· Complete an intake as outlined in the agency handbook, including a needs and goals assessment, safety plan, and legal needs assessment; assist with appropriate program referral based on the assessment and complete follow-up to ensure the client is receiving and participating in appropriate services. Document all activity in the client record and the Osnium database.
· Ensure accompaniment of client to hospital, police/sheriff departments, court proceedings, etc., as appropriate, and necessary.
· Provide support and information to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault regarding options available in the criminal justice system and assist the client in accessing their chosen course of action.
· Refer clients to other social service agencies for additional services as appropriate.
· Assist clients in filing crime victims’ compensation claims.
· Act as liaison with other agencies/entities on behalf of clients, as required, either directly or through assigned volunteers.
· At the direction of the Non-Residential Services Manager, respond to hospital calls for sexual assault survivors when a volunteer is not available.
· Transport clients to the shelter facility when needed and in accordance with guidelines established by the Non-Residential Services Manager.
· At the direction of the Non-Residential Services Manager, facilitate groups.
· Utilize volunteers to assist with advocacy and accompaniment.
· Provide training to volunteers and new staff as requested.
· Meet with criminal justice officials, social service workers, law enforcement, etc., to inform them of services offered by the agency.
· Distribute educational materials, which will inform abuse victims of the rights and services available to them.
· Make public appearances, as assigned, to interpret to the community the services of the agency.
· When answering Hotline, ensure that calls are identified and proper protocols followed.
· By means of active listening, provide quality telephone counseling to determine service eligibility of clients and to assist clients in crisis.
· Provide information to callers regarding agency services, programs, and eligibility requirements, etc. in such a way as to educate callers about the services of the agency.
· Screen incoming calls to ensure client confidentiality.
· Ensure incoming calls are appropriately logged to maintain proper and accurate documentation of records.
· Maintain appropriate case records on each client served.
· Ensure that an accurate record of working hours, mileage, etc. is maintained by self and any assigned volunteers.
· Ensure timely preparation of administrative documents and reports as requested/required.
· Participate with staff in long-range planning as requested, to ensure continuing quality service delivery.
· To perform other duties as assigned by the Non-Residential Services Manager, Deputy Director, and the President & CEO.
· Attend all meetings and training as directed.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred. At the discretion of the President and CEO, substantial experience in a shelter setting or in advocacy may be substituted for educational requirements.

Purpose/Function of Position: To provide individual and group counseling to adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and to ensure quality service delivery. The position will be part-time at 30 hours per week.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
•· Provide individual/group counseling for presenting clients.
· Provide individual/group counseling for presenting clients during evenings and weekends based on client availability and agency needs.
· Advocate for clients by providing appropriate referrals for services with other agencies, and by providing information to clients, which enable them to improve their quality of life.

· Interpret to clients the services offered by the agency and to facilitate their entry into any program component as appropriate.
· Assist with group development as opportunities/needs arise.
· Develop and maintain a working relationship with local universities.
· Interview potential practicum students/interns and place as appropriate.
· Provide training to students regarding agency philosophy and appropriate counseling techniques.
· Provide on-going supervision and training during the individual’s practicum/internship.
